Beagle Channel Navigation
Explore the Beagle Channel and experience the magic of Ushuaia among islands, sea lions, and mountains.
Service Description
The excursion begins at the port of Ushuaia, right in the city center. From there, we'll sail south through Ushuaia Bay, enjoying a unique panoramic view of the city, its mountains, and valleys. In just a few minutes, we'll enter the waters of the Beagle Channel heading for the Bridges Islands. This small archipelago is home to colonies of Imperial Cormorants and South American Sea Lions, which can be observed up close in their natural environment. Weather permitting, we'll disembark on one of the islands for an easy hike. During the tour, you'll be able to appreciate the area's characteristic flora and enjoy unparalleled views of Ushuaia and the Andes Mountains. The journey continues east until reaching the Les Eclaireurs archipelago, approximately 17 km from the city. There, the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse stands, a symbol of the "City at the End of the World." Seabirds and sea lions also live in the surrounding area, and remains from the shipwreck of the Monte Cervantes cruise ship, which occurred in 1930, are still preserved. After visiting the lighthouse, the boat begins its return trip along the northern coast of the Beagle Channel. During this stretch, you can see the old Estancia Túnel, the Playa Larga Natural and Cultural Reserve, and the industrial sector east of the city. The experience combines sailing, wildlife, history, and landscapes, offering one of the most comprehensive and unforgettable excursions in Ushuaia. Presentation 30 minutes before departure. Transfers to and from the port to the accommodation are not included.
