Service Description

The excursion begins with departure from the accommodation, crossing a glacial valley to reach the Garibaldi Pass, the only road pass that crosses the Fuegian Andes. From this vantage point, you can enjoy one of the most iconic views of the region: Escondido Lake, a gem nestled among the mountains that we will then travel from south to north along National Route 3. Upon reaching the northern end of Escondido Lake, we leave the paved road behind to enter old logging roads, now transformed into challenging dirt and mud trails, passable only by 4x4 vehicles. This adventure takes us to Fagnano Lake, the fifth largest lake in Argentina, where the immensity of the water merges with the mountains and the Fuegian forest. The off-road section is an experience in itself, with steep descents and trails that cross forests and peat bogs. Stops are made to enjoy the scenery and explore the shoreline of Fagnano Lake. There, in an incomparable natural setting, we will have free time to walk and relax while the guide prepares a hearty lunch with drinks, served in an exclusive shelter, far from any sign of modern life. The tour combines adventure, nature, and history, visiting iconic attractions such as the Andes Mountains, Lake Escondido, Lake Fagnano, and the Tierra Mayor Valley.
